C Joshua Norris - USNTDP, USHL (2017 Draft)

Leading the u18 NTDP team in scoring and apparently was solid at the 5 Nations tournament. I wonder if he will climb into the first round with a solid u18 World Championship tournament. Seems to be a lack of hype about him and NTDP prospects in general this year.

RW Noel Gunler - Luleå HF J18, J18 Allsvenskan (2020 Draft)

Pretty much just stat-watching, but came across a kid who is just 15 years old, but posting some astounding stats in the J18 Elit. In the best junior league in Europe, he currently has a 2.00 PPG in J18 Elite and a 0.67 PPG in J18 Allsvenskan being three years younger than the rest. He even got one game in the SuperElit as well. That's quite impressive.

Granted he is a late birthday for the 2020, but seems like he should be a top prospects for this draft if he keeps his development up. For the people who have actually watched him, what are your thoughts?

For comparison (around the same age including being older):
Landeskog PPG in J18: 1.39
F. Forsberg PPG in J18: 1.17
Wennberg PPG in J18: 0.92
W. Nylander PPG in J18: 1.53

F Matthew Savoie - St. Albert Sabres, AMBHL (2022 Draft)

Yes this thread will get comments of "omgz, he's thirteen" and "long way to go". You're right that he has a lot to prove because WHL is much different than AAA as we've seen with Bantam picks. A lot of 1st overalls and a lot of top 10s normally always busts and then you have a player like Ryan Johansen who gets picked in the 7th round of the WHL Bantam draft, but gets picked 4th overall in the NHL. What does this kid do that is separating him apart from the rest? Playing two years younger than the rest of the competition. Granted he is already 5'7" as a 13 year old and once other kids eventually meet his growth, he might fade away.

But to put it in perspective...

- Sam Steel as a 15 year old had a 1.52 PPG in AMBHL
- Tyler Benson as a 14 year old had a 2.54 PPG in AMBHL
- Mat Savoie as a 13 year old has a 1.71 PPG in AMBHL

What are some of the other strengths in your game that help set you apart from your peers? On the other hand, what weaknesses do you feel still need the most work?

I think my speed and stick skills set me apart from my peers because so far I have been able to use my speed and agility to create space and spin off defenders. Some of my weaknesses are not shooting as much as I should. Sometimes I pass when I should shoot, which I am correcting by shooting more often in practices, and in my free time.

I did a little spot on the Pipeline Show on the weekend. Spoke about these guys. Casey Mittelstadt, Cale Makar, Nico Hischier, Martin Necas, Elias Pettersson and Ryan Poehling.

Chat also includes talk of Mittelstadt and Samberg playing in the USHL.

A pair of players, one of them with the strength of an ox and shoulders broad enough to carry a franchise, the other can attack with stealth and lethality, arrived to this point as two of the best players the 2017 NHL Draft will offer. Nolan Patrick (Ranked No. 1), the heart-and-soul leader of the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings, and Swiss phenom Nico Hischier (Ranked No. 3) of the Halifax Mooseheads in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, could easily be the first two players chosen when the draft takes place next June in Chicago. Or at least that seems to be the popular opinion. But with all due respect to Mssr. Hischier, his impressive resume is still not enough to bump Minnesota high school phenom Casey Mittelstadt (Ranked No. 2) from the second spot he held in our early-season rankings.

The busy tournament season is over, with the U18 Worlds and the upcoming CHL/USHL playoffs all that remain. The next two months will cover a renewed focus on the CHL since the last five months were heavily invested in US and Euro prospects. That may explain why I'm not as bullish on a lot of Canadian players than most Canadian-based outlets.

Hey all,
quick question. I'm looking for a database that shows me every prospect an NHL organization currently has. Kinda like the one Hockey's Future was before it stopped updating its lists.

I'm also looking for sites that give good info on these prospects, again comparable to the old Hockey's Future pages. Some of you suggested dobberprospects.com a while back but I'm not really into this site. Maybe it's because they only list 10 prospects per team...dunno. So any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers
